District Wide Canned Food Drive

District Wide Canned Food Drive Items are due at the meeting on November 5th @ 5:30pm in the Cafeteria.
Food Items Needed:
- Canned Meats
- Canned Corn
- Macaroni & Cheese
- Tomato Sauce
- Canned Fruits in Light Syrup
- Low Sodium Soups
- Pasta & Pasta Sauces
- Low Sodium Mixed Vegetables
- Canned Chili
- Diced Tomatoes
- Rice and Brown Beans (in 1lb bags)
- Peanut Butter & Jelly
- Granola Bars
- Oatmeal
- Applesauce
- Fruit Cups
- Raisins
- Shelf Stable Milk
If you can not bring food items donations will be accepted and used to buy food items. |

Major Show Entry Reminder

1. All entries for major shows (Fort Worth, San Antonio, Houston, San Angelo, Austin) and payment must be completed at the Nov. 5th meeting. These forms require parent signatures and the Houston forms require notarization. A notary public will be there notarize ONLY if a parent is present.
2. Hard copies of entry forms are available beforehand in Mr. Blount's classroom. A parent must still be present for the notary for Houston entries (unless you take care of the notarization before the meeting).
3. Forms and payment can be turned in before the meeting if you wish.
4. Payment must be made to Dripping Springs FFA and NOT the shows themselves.
5. Quality Counts must be done by the meeting for major show forms. |

District Wide Community Service

The River District's Community Service is a Canned Food Drive for the Hays County Food Bank. This will also be part of Barn Olympics. All the canned food you bring will count toward points for your team. There will be boxes in Mr Blount's room which will have your teams officer's name on it.
